Born and raised in Montreal, I received my degree in a specialization of Cell and Molecular Biology from Concordia University. After getting an epiphany of merging my loves for cosmetics and science I decided to get a Graduate diploma in Cosmetic Chemistry to get into an industry I am passionate about. Six years in the cosmetic industry, I have worked in both sales and laboratory positions. I find myself now as the Account Manager for both personal care and HI&I at Essential Ingredients.
I am excited to be part of the 2023 SCC Quebec Committee. I look forward to a new year together and hope to see and speak with you at our events.
As a graduate of the first cohort of the D.E.S.S. in Cosmetology from UQAC, I have been working in the industry for 6 years now.
Sometimes with manufacturers, sometimes for private brands, I chose to help clients develop their projects and products at Dermaflore as QA and New Projects Director.
I am joining the committee again, this time in the role of treasurer, in order to offer our members a variety of events and hopefully in person!
Hope to see you very soon!
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from McGill University and started my career in the chemical industry as a lab assistant troubleshooting and developing different types of formulations for the paint and coatings industry. After several years in this role, I decided to change gears and accepted an offer to become an account manager for the personal care industry (which I considered closer to my formal education).
I am eager to be part of the new SCC Committee and excited about my new role as a treasurer-Elect for 2022. I look forward to contributing to the team and the members with my talents. I am confident that this will be a great learning experience for me and that it will not only help me to grow but will also help me to serve you better.
My career in the cosmetics industry started more than 17 years ago. From R&D to evaluation, I enjoyed understanding the product, starting from its conception to its industrialization, and working with the different actors of this industry.
After holding several positions in various French groups, I realized my dream by settling in Quebec in 2018. Since then, I have been working on the ingredient side of the business where my experience in formulation and evaluation is truly meaningful. Today, I am responsible for the cosmetic application laboratory at Anomera.
I am very happy to invest myself more in the cosmetic industry by joining the SCC Quebec committee and share my passions, such as color and lip product formulation. I look forward to sharing with you!
It is with great pleasure that I joined the SCC Quebec committee as Communications & Editorial Manager this year. I met the members of the association and its committee through last year’s events, and I was able to discover the association’s commitment to the cosmetics sector.
Our industry requires special attention when it comes to capturing new trends, developing ever more innovative products while complying with regulations. I wanted to actively participate in the organization of events to facilitate exchanges and sharing on various common themes in a friendly atmosphere.
After graduating with a Master’s degree in Natural Cosmetic Raw Materials and an experience in a large chemical company, I joined the EcoMundo subsidiary in 2021 in Montreal as a regulatory affairs specialist.
My education in chemistry and my 15 years in cosmetic product formulation have fulfilled my curiosity and my desire to see one of my creations on consumer shelves. As a Product Manager at Quadra Ingredients, I now use my scientific knowledge to promote the ingredients of the manufacturers distributed by Quadra across Canada. But it is above all the meetings and exchanges that are a source of inspiration.
It is with enthusiasm that I continue my mandate within the SCC Quebec Committee this year. The success of the few events of 2022 lets us foresee the best for 2023! There is nothing like discussing over a drink or a meal while enjoying conferences that are sometimes very technical, sometimes lighter, but always able to help our industry evolve.
First attracted by the excitement of mixing in chemistry class, then by the magic of cosmetic formulation, I realized that I had to continue my career in this industry!
Wanting to understand the conception of a cosmetic product in its entirety, I decided to complete my Master’s degree in cosmetics engineering with a Master’s degree in International Management and Marketing of perfumery and cosmetics.
I have been discovering this ever-changing market for 7 years now. My experience has led me to the suppliers of cosmetic ingredients, a world that one does not think of as a consumer of cosmetic products! However, it is a facet of the industry that is indispensable and so diversified.
Today I have the chance to use my double competence by managing the cosmetic division at Anomera, manufacturer of cellulose microspheres, an alternative to microplastics.
